在澳门的酒店和赌场还未比便利店多的90年代，新免诗诗（廖子妤）初当骨妹挂上19号技师号码牌战战兢兢，新免经验丰富的18号灵灵（余香凝）照顾新人，18 、19从此连在一起。澳门回归前夕社会动荡，骨场生意下跌，姐妹们各谋出路。好姊妹一个留在澳门一个嫁到台湾。不觉数十年，一则寻人启示让诗诗（梁咏琪）重回旧地始觉人面全非，亦勾起了她对90年代澳门、骨场初体验、与好姐妹灵灵的回忆，更发现了灵灵从未宣之于口的秘密，教她坦然面对自己。小城人物从来好看，导演徐欣羡为土生土长的澳门作纪录，感慨城市变迁同时抓住昔日情味。

The practice of handing and projecting film is in danger of being lost; and the role of film projectionist is nearing extinction. THE DYING OF THE LIGHT explores at the history and craft of motion picture presentation through the lives and stories of the last generation of career projectionists. By turns humorous and melancholic, their candid reflections on life in the booth reveal a world that has largely gone unnoticed and is now at an end. The result is a loving tribute to the art and romance of the movies-and to the unseen people who brought the light to our screens.
