回复 :该剧改编自阿加莎·克里斯蒂同名小说。1954年的英格兰，在一列开往伦敦的火车上，卢克·菲茨威廉（戴维·荣松 David Jonsson 饰）遇到了平克顿小姐（佩内洛普·威尔顿 Penelope Wilton 饰），平克顿小姐说在英格兰平静的乡村威奇伍德发生了一起连环杀人案，并且推测说下一个被害者将是当地的医生。菲茨威廉不相信她的话，认为那只是她的胡思乱想。但是，数小时后，平克顿小姐死于一场车祸，车辆肇事后逃逸。仅仅是巧合吗？卢克倾向于认为如此——直到他几天后在《泰晤士报》上读到亨伯比医生意外死亡的讣告……卢克必须马上找出真凶，因为对某些人来说，杀人不难。
